Israel has moved up three spots to rank as the 24th most competitive economy in the world according to the World Economic Forum 2010 - 2011 rankings published in its Global Competitiveness Report.

Israeli television networks and programs are expanding all over the globe.  Fresh new imports such as Split, a show about teenage vampires, are popular in over 40 countries.  Recently Israeli networks and producers break into the US market via deals with NBC, FOX and HBO.

In 2011 French car manufacturer Renault and Israeli pioneers Better Place are planning to market and test electric cars in Israel.  Two versions of the Renault Fluence ZE arrived in June and are being adapted to meet the needs of the Israeli market.
